Car died while driving. Turns over but won't start
I have a 2000 Intrepid, 2.7
Was driving to work today and the engine just died with no warning. No check engine light, no battery light came on. The battery has full power and the starter is working. I can smell gas coming from the engine when it try to start it so I know the fuel pump is working. The only thing I have tried so far is to replace the cam position sensor. That did not do anything. I checked the fuel pump relay and the ASD, they are ok....
I'm at a loss at what to do next. Would appreciate any advice on how I might diagnose this.
I was thinking my next step would be to get a code scanner. The check engine light never came on. Now that I can't start it, could there be a stored code in there?
