APC filters

I was just curious if anyone knows anything about APC brand cone filters.
i helped a friend of mine install his cai today but before i got off the phone with him he tells me that he got a K&N cone filter for around $10.00 shipped off ebay and i said BULLSHIT it cant be not for that price used maybe but not brand new.
so i throttle over to his house and shure enough its not a K&N but an APC so not knowing anything about them i looked around and i found about the same amount of proes and cons on them.
so im hopeing that you guys will have better info on them.

oh yes they also say that there washable but cant find any info on how to there not an oil type like the K&N.

Thanks in advance Crypt.

You get what, you pay for.

I have always known APC as the lower level Ricer market.

I use a APC filter as a spare while the K&N filter is being cleaned. Theres a special oil for the APC filter but its nothing more then the K&N oil but watered down like hell. Since they're so cheap I just toss it out and buy a new one.

Do you think the K&N cleaning kit would be OK for apc filter?
