2000 R/T rarity and Kelly blue book questions

I was wondering if KBB takes into consideration of rarity. Such as mine has no governor on it. Yet it's price it gives is within a well too close to any of other engines and types.
The very few I could find listed for sale are not good comparisons, no 2000's, have many more miles on them and in the far north east with a price spread of a couple k to 8k. I live by Pheonix Arizona now and might see one a year now.

Thoughts?

Despite that model being harder to find, the value is pretty much right in line with every other intrepid. As they have gotten older, the values have more or less evened out regardless of what options you do or don't have. You might ask for a couple hundred more just in case you find the person who is specifically looking for a R/T, but there isn't any significant difference in value.

Problem is it doesn't really have anything that really sets itself apart. Just like my platinum series chrysler 300m I owned. Was rare, but didn't have anything actually cool about it. It has some cool handling bits I guess.

Not having a Speed Limiter doesn't make the car any more valuable in my opinion. I too own one of the deluxe 2000 R/T cars and I've never felt the need to test whether the speed was truly not limited.

About the best thing to have is low miles and that's about it. Remember it's a 15 year old car now and it was never very collectible nor will it be in the future.

It's unfortunate that no one sees it as a "collectable or something to keep or rebuy" being that it has the Intercepter police engine in it. I have not sat in another vehicle and been more comfortable. With cloth cooshy seats that's hug oh so nice and haven't broken down. It's an absolute dream to drive especially on highways or trips.
For a test I put in miles from absurdly low to very high and the value did not much change :( it's a shame. I mean isn't the value or the engine worth most of the car separate and how could I find out? I live in a community so I am not allowed to keep an inoperable vehicle sitting about.
I bought this car in 2001 w/17k on it. It now has 96k 6 years of doctor visits on being driven for a move from Cali to Texas the shipped to Arizona.

on a 15 year old family sedan condition+miles>>anything else Also, seeing as the "R/T" trim on these cars is little more than wheels and generally better options, big whoop. An R/T is no different then any random 300m.

Not comparing the 2 just want to know a good price range it not the 300 will sell for for fair condition. Obviously I'd like to know the top end esp. So I don't post a ridiculous price but as u am disabled with no income would like to get the most and work from there. Thank you

KBB looks fairly accurate with the private party listing approximately $3,200 in fair condition to $3,600 in good condition. Whoever has interest in buying it will likely try to knock off at least $300 (if they do the work themselves) if you don't have any records of the waterpump and timing belt recently being replaced.

Hmmm...$3200 in Fair condition? Wonder what I can get for mine in Poor-Fair condition!

Not sure if the Zip Code is factored in but I checked off the actual options on mine with mods. 90k miles.

Getting $3995 for Fair Condition to $4781 for Excellent Condition.

Something doesn't seem right with those numbers to me though.

Mine isn't stock at the moment.

Has the following addins/changes/upgrades:

300M Special Interior. Dark Slate/Light Taupe.
RB1 NAV and 6 Disc CD Changer.

It has a MoonRoof stock and checked the Standard Alloy Wheels.

So the Additional checked items are:

NAV
Multi-Disc Changer
Leather with dual power seats.

Most if not all 2000 R/Ts came with cloth seats and MTC.

I've got ATC thanks to the 300m Special Interior including the Dash and wiring.

So basically the 2000 R/T was the "Basic Hot Rod" version with minimal Luxury options. No Leather, No ATC, No Passenger Power Seat and the list goes on.

I'm in Little Rock, AR now but I purchased the Car from a Member in Chicago when I was living in Birmingham, AL around 7-8 years ago.

Mine seems pretty basic no spoiler or compass. Just a head unit at the moment I took out the expensive sound system.

There's your answer on pricing. No Leather, no OTIS, no Moon Roof, etc.

Even a 2000 Intrepid ES had more goodies inside. The brakes, body, etc were the same. ES had a 3.2L and the R/T 3.5L

Spoiler? You can get originals or Replicas all day long on Ebay.

Bummer you're disappointed your car isn't worth a lot but that's the way it is. And getting what KBB suggests it's worth is another "If". Doubt you'd see $3k for it if it has no options...especially if it doesn't have a Moon Roof.
