Winter Projects

I was wondering what are some of the winter projects everyone will be working on for the winter of thier cars?
I'm not sure myself so I was hoping someone would post something that would get me excited and make me want to go to the garage.

What mods are you gonna make for winter?

Mine is not car related at all LOL. I like the LED swap idea, its gonna take forever on a GEN 2 tho. I changed my interior LEDs which is pretty cool, im good with that for now.

I will be working on my Raptor GSXR engine swap project.

I bought a spare quad for the project and im working on it bit by bit.
Ill probably post all of the pics when its nearly complete, its nothing impressive right now.

I will be installing footwell lighting to light up the black hole. Install front and rear brake pads and front rotors. Change transmission fluid.

I need to finish the new front cross drilled/slotted rotor and brake pad install to match the rear, I also started to suede the interior but have slowed to a hault on that project...need to get motivated again plus find some material. So far the center console lid and the rear passenger ashtrays lids are done ( i know i started with the easy stuff). I pulled out the A pillars and the glovebox also, thats where I got stuck, the pros use an upholstrey suede that has a thin layer of foam to form around curves easy...I need some of that foam.

Well I'm having a hard time not putting snow tires on but i will get past that one so outside of some LEDs in a few key areas inside that i haven't done yet everything is all outside the cabin witch i can still do if the $.$$$ are there no matter what season it is and that list is to large to mention.

I HATE FLORIDA BUT LOVE IT TO!!!

Had some spare time today to get it all done.

Fished out the block heater plug. Wedged it between the headlight, hood and fender.
Bent the wiper arm a bit for a more preload on the blade. It's not skipping anymore.
Shot some Krown oil spray on the inside bottom edge of the doors.
Filled up the windshield washer fluid.
Lastly. Returned the lifetime warrantied hood strut supports in exchange for new ones. Kept the reciept, they lasted 8 years. Just about as long as the originals.

Garage
Got the car stored away and gathering parts for spring modding.

Going to be repainting the hood, installing a new transmission with prowler gears and a stall converter, have a few other items I am going to add, then Ill finally be able to call this baby finished.

I am doing some mods to my truck, new cap today gotta paint that, gonna shave the giant tripod mirrors and put the regular plastic tow mirrors on, hopefully add an Edge juice with attitude if budget permits...

I have a laundry list of things i need to do over the winter. For the Intrepid, the most important one right now is to get that other STS projector modded into the driver side fog and install that. I've also got a set of TSX projectors that i have started retrofitting into another set of lights for my wife's Jeep. In non-lighting, i have to finish painting the Z06 wheels for my project car, get the tires mounted & balanced, and finish installing the C5 brake upgrade. Have to get the IROC back on the ground so i can move it closer to me, to be able to make more progress on it. Not possible seeing as i have most of the front suspension sitting off the car in the garage.

Hey if you are still looking for that thin auto foam Try

MEMPHIS TRIM SUPPLY - ASK For Brian, Tell him Ken Parks from All Around Sounds told you to call.

901-365-4433

They are really good guys and can help you with any fabrics for any OEM or aftermarket need, as well as dyes and glues and foam. I have been usng them for over 12 years to do my job ( Car Audio Tech )
They can suggest what would help you and like I said He is real cool. They sell a real nice Auto grade unbacked carpet that I cannot find anywhere else - It comes on an 80" roll which makes a yard or 2 work wonders on a trunk, custom fiberglass work stuff..

Anyway I swear by them.

NOW

as for winter projects:

1) I hope to fix my wife's A/C in the trep I am hoping parts might be cheaper on Ebay this time of year since no one is buying air in the winter and thus I might save a few bux.

2) I plan on customizing my wifes Trepid trunk for a custom fiberglass box, amp rack and lighting up under the front and back of the front seats with SUPER BRIGHT WHITE LED TUBES to add to the Interior lighting when the doors are open - I am also swapping out the reg lights to WHITE LED's as well.

3) I plan on building a multinational conglomeration to take on the goal of stopping world hunger

4) I plan to form a coalition of the willing to find bombs of mass destruction in Iraq... Um wait thats been ddone...Um wait no it has'nt , or has it?? ok NM I will leave that to the Moron in Office right now to fix before he gets ousted.

5) And finally I plan on spending as much time laying down on my couch this winter as I can to ensure it still works perfectly, I have been told you have to use your couch or it will break down...

and there it is...

Tell me about this Krown spray, I can't find any information on it. I found information on Krown application centers but only in Canada. Does this really work?
