Do you know how hard it is to flip a trep? He had to be traveling at some extreme speed when he hit that ice

1. It wasn't me that this happened to. I was posting the story from another board. I doubt the guy is a member on here.

2. Cops give tickets to people all the time that wreck their cars if they are at fault in the accident. Might not be at the scene of the accident if that person is injured, but they can be cited and ticketed at a later date.

insane pics, there was another case a while back, but it wasnt as serious. A guy hit a mudpile and the car just flipped on its roof. Luckily this guy survived to post about it.

On another note
1. it was an se so not a great loss
2. hes ok so he can get another car
3. he didnt get a ticket, he mentioned the cop never gave him a ticket.

Honestly he could have just called a tow truck and forget about the police, what are they gonna do? The car is a pure writeoff regardless of the situation, he might as well just take it to the yard with his own tow truck driver and visit a nearby hospital.

Contrary to what you guys are saying, unless many cars are involved or you hit some standing object (ie a tree), cops will not give out tickets. When you hit deer and unexpected obstacles for whatever reason its not like he can say "well u werent doing 60mph, u must have been speeding so heres a speeding ticket". All they are there for is to document what happened for the insurance company so u dont claim the car flipped in the driveway while you were sleeping.

Cops arent the douches people make them out to be unless ure a drunk or have no insurance or drivers license LOL, then ure screwed.

maybe there were other factors, he might have hit something on the road too, or the way he hit the ditch, you would have to see the whole scene. Im sure he didnt flip it on a completely flat surface covered with black ice.

I think the owner of the car AND the tire installer should both get tickets. That car has regular tires in the rear. Not sure if you heard before but the better tires should be on the rear. This makes a car stabil when you are driving on a snow covered road.

So many people with egos bigger than their brains INSIST they only need them on the front so they don't get stuck. Failure to realize pulling out of an unshovelled driveway is not the top priority in winter driving.

Four or nothing.

I always keep my tires rotated and then just replace them all at once - keeps good tread all the way around.

With regard to the pics, thought it was kind of funny that you could see his ice scrapper on top of all the snow and crap in his car.

GTFOH

Who ever was driving that car was probably going way to fast for the road conditions. He is lucky he isn't dead. God could have installed those tires and it wouldn't help if an idiot is behind the wheel!

The installer of most big tire chains will not allow you to put your new tires on the front.

You obviously understand the effect. You claim the rear end is pretty fishy. Guess what. It's worse with the older rounded tread, no shoulder worn summer tires on the rear.
