Jack points on 1997

Hi all. I'm going to be doing a rebuild on back drum brakes. Side rail jack points are totally rusted out to the point of when I start to jack up I get a 1 to 2 inch pile of rust and paint chips from somewhere. Really don't trust jacking from the there.
I have a hydraulic jack and stands
1. Where should I put the jack
2. Where should I place the stands
I would like to jack up the back all at once and slowly lower it onto stands if possible. Would like to use one side of brakes as reference as I do the other side.
A references to pics would be appreciate . Thanks

You can put your jack on the rear cross member underneath the gas tank. Just make sure it's not too rusted out... As far as placing stands, I think you will just have to inspect and see what is suitable. Doesn't sound very safe so make sure you have some sort of fail-safes in place such as laying the wheel under the car in case it falls and supporting the vehicle from multiple locations.
