Garage
Did you swap out the drivers side cam sprocket and the flexplate for the ones off of the 02? The tone rings are different.

Sounds like you'll be pulling the motor again to swap the Flex Plate and the Drivers Side Cam Sprocket. That info is all over the place on this site, Too bad you didn't do your research before tackling the engine swap. Hope you kept the old motor to get those parts off of?

And this is the First time I've tackled a dodge in
30 years !--[ things have sure changed !
************************************************** *******
We just joined this forum
so our research effort was not good at all to begin with !
this is now why we are here trying to learn !
We will get caught up on these newer motors and all of the extra stuff that
it seems has to be done on swaps !
Live and learn as they say !
Thank you for the heads up !

the difference is only 01 to 02.
98 to 01, and 02 to 04.
unfortunate coincidence that you chose those 2 years to interchange.

no matter how old, you live, you learn. sometimes the hard way.

Have to ask, but why not 3.5 instead of 2.7? Seems Arizona rust free would have plenty 3.5??

Most likely due to the low purchase price of the 2.7 vs the 3.5!
