steering knuckle interchange

New here. Just wondering what is the interchangability of the front steering knuckles between years/ models. Thanks!

There are two different sizes of brake rotors; used mostly on 98-01 cars. If your originally had 15 inch wheels, it will have the 11.1 inch brake rotors. If you had PHP, or 01+ model year, you'll have 11.7 inch rotors. This makes a difference in the knuckles. Measure your brake rotor on the donor vehicle and on yours to make sure you are getting the correct knuckle. Otherwise they are all compatible 98-04.

With the wheel and brake rotor removed, you will see either '15' or '16' cast into the lower lobe of the knuckle. The '16' is on the ones on cars that came from the factory with 16" and larger wheels. The 15" inch wheels *only* came on some Concordes and Intrepids in '98 and'99 (there have been claims of a little into '00 too).

Thanks. Do the Intrepid/ Concorde knuckles interchange with the 300m. (Or any other vehicle for that matter.) I have a little project that says to use the Intrepid hubs but I figured I can use the whole knuckle and go from there.

They *all* took the same knuckle except for the one for the 15"-wheeled '98 thru '01 as Dan said.

Yep, all the same; Intrepid, Concorde, LHS, 300M; and will bolt right up. Just check your rotors or stamping on the knuckle as mentioned to make sure you have the correct brake size prior to 01.
