Headlight Question

I have a 94 base model trep and recently I've noticed something funny with my headlights.

A few times i've turned of the car before i turn off the headlights, so i just turn them off like i normally would. Except the headlights come back on when the switch is in the off position. I have to turn it back to running lights and back to off to get the headlights to finally shut off.

Is this normal, like a 10 or 20 second delay so you can see before they shut-off again? I know some of the newer cars do this but I'm not certain as to if the treps did it.

Yes it's normal, wait to watch for them to turn off about 30 seconds after you shut the door.

I agree. Its in your manual if you have it. Its courtesy lighting. Perfectly normal.

In the second gen's, you can turn off that feature (called delayed headlight or something) using an EVIC.
