I just had my Trep worked on at the local shop. I had the Transmission cooler and the cooling lines replaced. I also had the lower oil cooler line from the lower pan to the lower radiator replaced.
The estimated time was 2 days for the lines to arrive from the dealership and 1 day to do the work.. all in all it took 8 days
The key I gave them was just a metal key with the dealer identification keychain tag on it.
The key I recieved back was a key with the black rubber Chrysler "key grip" on it.
I told him I don't think this is my key.. unless they put the rubber on it.. He assured me it was my key and that is how they got it they did not put the rubber on it because it has to come from the dealer that way..
My main key has a dodge symbol on the rubber grip.
[EDIT] The key i got back DOES work.
Now I think they took the car to the dealer to do something and the dealer either put the rubber on it or copied the key and gave me a new one.
I just think this is really weird. Has anyone ever seen the dealer put a rubber on a metal key?
