Car Loan question...

I am currently a student and unemployed, my credit rating however is 734.

Can I co-sign on a loan for my Father who has the income to afford the vehicle but a not so good credit rating?

Just want to lower his rate...

I wouldnt suggest co-signing for anyone unless you can make the payments when(if) they squelch for some reason. It takes years to repair bad credit.

since you have a better credit rating than him they would probally put you on the front of the loan and him on the back meaning it would be like the loans in your name and hes the co signer and if something ever happened like getting behind or anything you would be the one they would come after
