VIN Wrong?

I just finnished checking out the decoding of my Concorde.

2 = Built in Canada by Chrysler
C = Chrysler
3 = Passenger Car
H = Restraint System, Active Driver and Passenger Airbags
D-Intrepid
5 = Premium
6 = 4 Door Sedan
F = 3.5L 6 Cyl 24 valve gasoline (1G)
V = 1997

Why would it have the code for an Intrepid....it's a Concorde. Registered as a Concorde as well? Anyone know?

Could it have anything to do with the fact that the Intrepid name is marketed as a Chrysler in Canada, not a Dodge?

I don't think so because there is a letter code for first and second gen of each the Intrepid and the Concorde for the vin's.

What about grabbing the vin from another Chrysler Intrepid/Concord from a yard, and do some comparisons... you might find out you have an Intrepid body with some Concord parts on it... Heheheheh

Doubt it, but it might be worth it to walk around the yard and see what you find.
