93 New Yorker Keyless Entry, Need Help!

Okay, I'm dealing with a 93 New Yorker (not the LH car, it is the AY body similar to the Dynasty). Does anyone have any idea of where the keyless entry box is located? I'm trying to figure out if it has keyless or not. Also, where is the ground wire located to program new remotes? I'm guessing that it is the same box as a 93 Intrepid/Concorde with the single push trunk and green ground wire to program new remotes.

I have a parts catalogue that covers that year and model, it does show a 'Module, Keyless Entry' under the section titled LOCK CYLINDERS AND DOUBLE BITTED LOCK CYLINDER REPAIR COMPONENTS Figure 23D-100. It does not clearly show though if it is part of the door or if it is located somewhere else. It is not even in the Door section of the parts catalogue (section 23D is Wiper, Washer, Cylinder & Keys)..... Part number listed by the way is 4469 340

I'll be... darned ...... the transmitter for the 93 model year has the same part number as the transmitter for the 94 LH... The receiver, while the picture shows the exact same unit, does have different part numbers.

SO, one would have to THINK that the receiver ought to be located in the same spot on the 93 as it is on the 1st gen LH....which is in the dash (IIRC).....

(side note: I used to live in Lancaster OH for several years, by the way... corner of Madison Ave and 5th Ave. 'twas a good time...)

Yeah, I think it's under the dash somewhere, I'm just not sure where! The IP Cover on that car is no more than a strip that covers the defroster vents. The upper dash isn't real easy to tear apart, so I didn't want to rip everything apart to find it. I'm not even sure where the programming wire would be located to add remotes.

(side note: That's cool! I live about 15 miles from Lancaster, right where St. rt. 13 and 22 meet!)

From the image and inforation that I have pulled up on the 1993 New Yorker, it is located on the passenger side of hte top part of the dash under the Inturment Panel Top cover. The one I am looking at is the AY body style.

You can basically say it is about the same location as in the LH cars. If I need to, I can post the picture up.

If what I am seeing and all is correct, it should be the same to program the remotes as in the LH cars.

**SIDE NOTE**

Matthew I hope you decide to fix your concorde since it looks like a very nice car. There is a Concorde at the yard that is the same color and about the same year model as yours.

Thanks for the info! I'll have to do some checking sometime soon! I thought I was going to have to drive it since the Concorde is down, but I'm driving my dad's 99 Avenger ES!!!!!! I love driving that car sooo much, it almost makes me not want to fix the Corde, but I'm getting ready to get it fixed this week. I just thank God that I wasn't out on the highway with my car when that balljoint broke!
