Sad click noise from multifunction

In the last few days I noticed when I make a left turn, especially when I use my turn signal, when i return the wheel and the mfs clicks back into neutral position, there is a faint click after the normal click. Sometimes when I turn around a bend to the left it makes a click also when the wheel returns to center. It only seems to do it on lefts, and is sounds like it is coming from the mfs. Is my switch about to take a crap? 97 es ~93,000 miles.

Update: I think I found the location of the click, and not from the mfs. Underneath the drivers seat near the left side. When I went to get out a little while ago, I heard it again. I gotta test the mfs in the daylight just to verify it is not that, gonna try to see if I can mimic the click while parked that way my momentum doesn't cause the seat to click. If only I can stick my head under the seat to find the exact location without too much trouble.
