diesel sound

Wow... started the trep this morning and it sounded like a diesel at first. I shut it off and restarted it and it went away. I drove if briefly yesterday so it sat most of the day and last night. I took it for a drive and all seems well.......all fluids seem good as well. Kind of scared me. Any ideas??

For those sound freaks it went kinda like this....... whirr......ratt ratt whirr ratt ratt only real fast. Not really..... just sounded like a diesel.

Just a cold start maybe? My car when you start it (the Laser) sounds like it has a huge cam in it at first till it warms up.

Hes got a 3.5, it has a belt.

Sounds like maybe a spark knock to me Doug, maybe some condensation or something collected in the fuel overnight, or crappy gas. Hard to say, would have to hear it.

I hope you never hear it! I have driven it all day several places. Have not heard it since! Keeping fingers crossed.

Not like that. I heard it! It was not a knock like you had. Yours sounded like someone was at the door.
