HID is probably brighter and better

depends on if cost matters to you.

Yes, HID is much more bright, but also, much more expensive. About 10x as much.

Me....

PIAA Platinum Super Whites

Lows - 9006 (51W)
Highs - 9005 (60W)

If you go higher than 51W and 60W, you run the risk of burning out the wire harness.

Although for my fogs I went with the PIAA Ion Crystal which are 55W (stock is 35W) and the only thing that has happened is that the inside coating of the little reflector has burned. You can only notice this if you look closely at it (the outside is a darker purple color).
