Question Very Rapid, Very Light Ticking in 300M

I noticed that my fiancees 300M has a very rapid soft tick only when its idling, or running at low rpm with not much pressure on the gas pedal. The only time I hear it is when were up next to sumthin. I tried an oil change 5W30 Castrol Edge to no avail. 87000 miles 3.5l ho. We were told a new belt was put on it when we bought it a year ago. 15K miles since. I lifted the hood and it sounded like the belt...but ive never heard it on any car before unless the oils gettin thin? Any ideas? Thanks for the help ahead of time.

mine does it to. I took it to the dealership and they said it was the fuel injectors. they said it was normal and not to worry. whether or not they're rite I don't know. I took the valve covers off and everything looks ok.

Yes the injectors have a slight tick to them. What I do is take a short piece of garden hose and use it holding one end to my ear to try and isolate where the sound is coming from. I just replaced my AC idler pulley but I thought it was the power steering pump it was a combo of ticking and whining.

Recently ran the pump dry due to a pressure line leak and picked up an AC idler pulley and bracket from the yard cause my bracket was rusted and too hard to adjust. I went ahead and used the pulley that was on it and threw mine away. I thought the pump was damaged but after using the hose trick found out it was the idler I picked up at the yard. Replaced it with a new one, runs extremely quiet now.
