Radio swap.

I am going to buy a factory 6 disk dc changer unit from a friend. Are the connections the same on the back of the radio that comes with the cd changer the same as the ones on the back of the basic tape player unit or is a modification required? The one i bought came from a chrysler special.

Just read your other post.
Model year will make a difference.
If your Trep is 02+, then you'll be fine. <=== Since you have an 02, it will plug right in --- be sure to get the cable with the CD player.

If your Trep is 98 - 01, then I don't believe the connectors are the same.

98-01 have the round DIN connection at the radio. 02-04 have rectangular connections at both the radio and changer.
