Mouse damage or how hard is this to fix...

I had a field mouse build a nest on the top of the motor (between the last two ignition coils on the right side) while the car was parked. I found out about it when I opened the hood to check the oil and fortunately for me I hadn't started it yet or it would have burned.

I cleaned out the nest and noticed that the insulation on the wires going to the connector on the ignition coil nearest to the firewall looked like it had been stripped (exposing the copper). I put some electrical tape on them to keep out moisture but it needs to be replaced.

Has anyone replaced these wires and where do they run? I'm wondering how expensive this is going to cost now...

Thanks!

Garage
I would just go to the yard and get a pigtail off of another engine and splice it in before the damaged section. Make sure you solder and heatshrink the connection. Frickin meeces.

Same thing happened to me about three years ago except it was the wires going to the firewall took me two days and about $70.00 to find out all i had to do is solder five wires back together lol.

Thanks guys, I wish I had a junkyard near me to get the wiring from but they seem to be in Maryland and are usually stripped clean.

Can anyone recommend a good junkyard that I can call and see how much it will cost to get that bit of wire and connector?

I had a issue with a mouse making a home in my garage and used wire from my car for his nest. I attempted to fix it and it became a whole re-wire job. I lost interest and gave up. Lot a steak dinner bet too...

Last mouse that came anywhere near my car got run over when I put it into reverse to pull out of the driveway. Aside from that I havent had any kind of trouble with those little bastards. To be honest I would just get a whole new thing of wire and do it that way rather than splice it but thats just me, I like to do things complicated.
