my '94 has plastic, i don't think i've seen any with glass housings. wish they did though, doubt they would fog up as badly as the crap-tastic ones we got now.

I bought several cleaners to get that crusty yellow crud...from Meguirs Plastic polish, to boat grade plastic/plexiglass cleaner to good old fashioned tooth paste. it touched it up a bit but not great by no means. And after a while, it just comes back anyway.

BEAR, how did you manage it? And, are we talking about the same crusty, yellow build-up?

I dunno, goes on like wax and I put a couple coats on and it really looked MUCH better!! It isn't like brand new, which besides sanding and buffing is the best thing I've found. And I'm sure we are. We also used it on my Dad's lightbar on his patrol car and again, MUCH better. We tried everything else on his lightbar, and nothing has cleaned it like this stuff did.

I wonder if the yellow stuff would form on new headlights, when I got my car inspected I'm surprised it passed with that nasty yellow skin.

Well for starters, 97 and 98 are two totally different headlight assemblies. First gen Intrepids were from '93 to '97. Second gens are from '98 to present. The '97 assemblies will fit your '93. The '98 ones will not, at least not without major modification.

oh im stupid, i knew 2nd gen started in 98, i dont know why i thought that.

when you say without major mods, does that mean that i could basically just order these headlights, and take out the screws on my old ones and they will just fit right in?

no he meant it can't be done withouth a major modification to the car. You would probably need to rewire the lights, cut the bumper, hood, and fender. then make a custom mount for the assembly. ETC. Way to much work for the little gain your getting.

are you talking about the 2nd gen headlights? i dont even like those headlights and i wouldnt put those on my 93, i just wanna know if putting the 95-97's on it would mean a lot of mods or if i can just put them in and turn on the lights
