Question Confusion

One of my coworkers bought a 00 or 01 Stratus several months ago, never really paid attention to it until last night. We were parked next to each other. I noticed that her car has those 2 reflective strips under each taillight, like my first gen. Trepid does. I was kinda . Went to the dealership today just browsing through the lot. All second gen. Stratus have those tailights except the 03 R/T, those looked kinda sweet.
I think that is like a signature to the body style, if that would even be the proper term. They should have kept that on the Trepids not switching things around and putting them on another car. Anyone else share my opinion?

I have to agree with you on that one, I liked the seperate strips. I think they would've looked cool on the 2nd gens.
What I don't like is the fact that Stratus's and Sebrings get updated so many times and they do nothing to the Trep, not even a little bumper change or tailight change.

Well a taillight change should be from gen to gen but, like I said the original should be honored as a signature of that vehicle. Look at a mid&late 70's, all 80's, and a few years of 90's when the Camaro's tailights had pretty much the same look. 70's were smaller until the next gen in the 80's and they got bigger. They messed up by changing to a euro oval design in 93 with the last gen of them. But at least GM didn't put that design onto another car!! Also of note, dunno how many second gen's have them but I noticed on the 03 R/T those stupid, ponitac style, on the bumper backup lights that look like fog lights that are supposed to be on the FRONT of a vehicle!

then it would be harder and more expensive to find used parts... the dealerships would love that...

I'm just afraid DC will make all the cars look the same, same grilles for Dodges and similar tailights as well.

Don't wanna piss anyone off but that's why I bought an older car instead of a newer 00 or 01 model 2 years ago. In my opinion the stratus and Trepid look too similar and now the stratus is trying to look like a Trepid. Sure the newer models look smaller and are more aerodynamic, but they look too much a like!
