side mirror wiring

i have a 2002 concorde lx, no options other than a CD player. I bought the 300M special turn signal mirrors, and this morning, worked on installing them, or atleast tried. what i found out was that the 300M mirrors have 12 wires, where-as mine has 3. now that is 9 wires short. what i would like to know is whether these additional 9 wires are in the bunch of wires that come in through the door, or will i need to run them through?

you are probably gonna have to run new ones thru. i had to for my turn signals, and will have to for memory and heated features.

If you are not worried about the extra wiring for the memory seat function try this,https://www.dodgeintrepid.net/forums/...pecial+mirrors or do a search for 300M special mirrors.

If all you want to connect is the turn signals, you have to add one wire, heated add another wire, auto dim two more wires, the rest are for the memory positions from the heat and memory seats. Let me know exactly what you want to hook up and I'll try to help as best as I can. The turn signal mirror wire for the drivers side goes to junction block brown connector #6 cavity #11 green wire which is the wire between a tan wire and a Violet with black stripe wire in the corner. The passenger side goes to the tan wire next to the green one just mentioned and a red with white stripe wire. Or you can tap into these wires under the plastic scuff molding at the base of the drivers door opening.
The defrost wire for the heated part of the mirror might already be on the connector of the body harness which is where the door harness plugs into the car side, it's a light blue with yellow stripe wire. If it's not there you have to run a wire fron the defrost relay (300M and Concorde only) on the passenger side in the trunk by the tailight. This should be a 10 amp fused wire.

well, all i want is the turn-signal, heat and auto-dim. do the mirrors themselves have the auto-dimming sensor built in, or does it work off the interior rear-view mirror? i'm assuming the junction block is the fuse panel near the driver door. correct me if i'm wrong. i'm going to be replacing my rear speakers as well, so if i need to run the defogger wire, i'll do them all at the same time. i'm just waiting for a couple of days of good weather so i can work on the car without having to worry about rain/snow. probably next weekend. thanks for all the help. rest assured, if i screw something up, you guys will hear about it. so be prepared to whip out all the service manuals and other paraphenalia you have on these cars.

Thanks again to all.

The auto dim wires run up to the extra connector on the EVIC/ headliner harness. The wires from the driver's mirror are tan with an orange stripe which goes to the same colored wire at the connector and tan with white stripe which eventually turns into yellow with black stripe. Yes, the fuse panel is the junction block and all it's connectors are on the backside. Happy wiring

are the sensors for auto-dimming built into the side mirrors themselves?

Also, keep in mind that running wires into the doors of a second gen isn't as simply as pulling a new wire through the door boot. There is a plastic molex plug that connects the door harness to the harness in the chassis. There is no pre-made hole to simply run wires through, though it's not impossible to do it...

They are on the autodim rearview mirror.

Here are some pics of what the harness looks like .
