Not quite subs but...

I had an extra pair of 6x9's so I thought I would hook them up in my trunk with the other rear speakers to the amp. This way, more power can come out of the rear speakers without them distorting. Here's the end result.

What's the final result? When I hooked up my stock Infinity speakers to my after-market 4ch amp I forgot to change the settings from a sub to speakers. At first I was like WTF my subs aren't connected? But then realized what was going on. I was very surprised at the sound that came out of them for 6x9's.

Haha yea. I started out with type r components up front and type r 6x9's in the rear and then I switched to infinity kappa something or other 6x9's in the rear and just had those type r's sitting around. Now I have the type r components up front, the kappa 6x9's in the rear deck, and those type r 6x9's behind the rear seat. It sounds amazing! I cranked the power that is going to the rear sets and it sounds almost like a small sub. I just did it out of the blue today when I was doing something else with my car, honestly did not even think it would work out the way I had it planned but for once it did.
