Sad Catalytic Convertor gone bad

Hey all.
94 Trep 3.5 ES Seems the main cat is gone. Wondering if anyone knows where one may be had cheap. Live in Canada, East GTA, Durham Region area. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for any help..

Well, if you can do any fab work yourself, a proper dual in single out converter can be had for anywhere from $120-$190 at Rock Auto, plus shipping.

You might be able to snag a whole exhaust from a junk yard car too...

you mean they remove it from the cars in the yard so you can't buy a used one off of a car there?

they need by law to cut 6 inch from each side of the converter

Well you can do a temp fix by using two sparkplug non-foulers to trick the PCM until you can get a new cat. I would go check out summit racing or jegs for a new cat. Heck you might be able to score a high flow off of ebay.

I don't trust used catalytic converters. It's a 50-50 chance that it will work let alone last.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Actually went and had the cat replaced so all is well with that. Now on to other fixes, LOL
