2003, SXT, 3.5L....Any Electronic Tranny Mods Out there

I don't like the way the tranny shifts. it's smooth but I have to be in the throttle alot to get a downshift. this is an ALL HIGHWAY car...Any Mods out there?

Auto-stick is one way of firming it up and being able to get the car in the right gear. It won't do anything for shifts while in auto though. You could also get a 300M Special PCM and that will make them firmer, but that means you have to get the new PCM programed to your car by a dealer.

One question I'll lead off with from the OP post... is there a way to force the down-shift from a mechanical switch, rather than waiting for the ECM/PCM to decided that is what you want?

Yes..I'll downshift with the stick shift...but in auto, the car drags down on the hills, the gas is almost to the floor and slowing before it downshifts. and then it takes off and overshoots the speed setting and will sometimes upshift to slow down! It's seems to be very inefficient and hard on the tranny,...and annoying!

Autostick with an 02 Special or R/T PCM..... Your shifts will be much faster and harder!!
