probs with my mini van

I no longer have my trep, but do have a 97 voyager. I am having some problems with it, I know how knowlegeable alot of people are on here, so hoping some one can help me. 1st prob. I have no dash lights. I have checked all the fuses, and the bulbs. Head lights work fine so do the dome lights. Am I looking at a switch problem or something intirely differant. 2nd problem. the blower motor works sometimes on low, but not on any other speed. I see that it is all a contained unit would this be a problem. again checked all the fuses and relays all are fine. I also have some trouble codes that im not sure what they are or what exactly to fix by what they reveal. I have 43 twice, 34 and 27. If anyone would have a schematic it would help alot too.

Thanks

Paul

The dash light sound like it could be a bad dimmer switch. the blower motor sounds like the blower motor resistor has gone bad.

Blower motor resistor pack could be bad, but the high speed relay would ALSO have to have gone bad to knock out high, right?

Ah the good old 3.0L minivan. It was my first car. My friends called it "the damn van"....it was a tremendous lemon but it ROCKED compared to riding the bus my senior year of high school. I kept the Chilton manual for it in my backpack.

No dash lights....do the lights on the radio and climate controls work? If they work, then *all* the bulbs have burned out. If no back lights work, the dimmer switch has failed.

43.....ignition coil driver fault, open or shorted.
34.....EGR solenoid circuit problem (or speed control fault, codes are the same...grr!)
27.....Fuel Injector circuit #1 problem

I'm betting either a dead PCM or a faulty wiring harness.

I am going to go with a blown fuse that all of those have in common. Check every fuse in the box.

Did you mess with the dimmer switch? if you move it up or down the lights might flicker.

dimmer switch only turns interior lights on and off, blower does work on low speed only. I have no idea where the resistor packs are for this car. I am going to search and see if I can find a schematic and start metering things. and then try and figure out the problems throwing the codes.

Thanks all
