Did some searching and string pulling. I can get Nightshades for $10 Canadian.
Thanks to a very nice member @ redlienrs.ca who owns a speed shop. You da man, Jason. SHP performance all the way! That's not the counter price though. He was mostly just being very nice. I've talked to him countless times on that board , and have yet to meet him. But we have simiilar friends.
$18 U.S. Average price eh? I think I've got great connections now that I think about it.
Oh, well on another thread by Bryan_M someone mentioned that they can get Nightshades for $18, ouch.
My $10 no tax price is still better ;) hehe. Maybe I can hook some of you guys up some time.. but for chump change like that, shipping wouldn't be worth it. Maybe our toronto area guys would like some on my next trip there.
I just bought some on Saturday for $16 a can, including tax. Are there different sizes? I have personally only seen the 7oz size, but one of the shops was telling me he can get a bigger can but he didn't know what the volume was. Anyway, I practiced on my tail bar and put 3 thin coats. I will need at least one more for them to be black, and not burgundy. So, you will need two 7oz cans to do all three lights. Good luck!
i was thinking of putting the nightshades over top of the custom rear light job i already did. I think it would help blend the two surfaces together a little better and might turn out decent. Just a little worried about how much light id be blocking out . any thoughts?
Oh, my last statement was for Avenger's second scentence. Clear tails are completely overdone. Why the hell would i want clear tails and a dark black tinted window together? Black with black. Ghost the bitch.
I just applied some nitesahdes today.. Hopefully not too dark!
Helpful hint to others - Make sure to clear coat it. Better yet - When you do clear coat it - don't use Rust Oleum glossy clear coat. It's crap! It's impossible to get a good solid coat. It's like most rust oleum paints - very thick and will coat anything.... too thick.
I'll probably have to re-do my reflector bar.. argh.
