Wife needs a new car...Thinking about a Challenger??

I see TONS of new Challengers on used car lots. Anyone have any idea why? Or, is it just the economy?
She likes the Chargers but I introduced to the Challenger and I think now she is leaning more in that direction.
I would greatly appreciate an informed opinions about the Challengers.
I have not done any homework yet, she will probably rather a V6. Is the V6 an option? Can I get one with a V6 but doesnt look like the stripped-down base model? (nice wheels, ect..)

yep you can get a 3.5 v6 in one. and i do believe you can get a set of nice looking 18 inch aluminum wheels as well with the base model v6

My brother has had his for 13K miles, not an issue at all. He's got the R/t with the V8. Kind of early to tell, but havent heard of any problems with them at all. There was an issue with tie rods on the Charger a couple years back, thats about it.

Upload your pics to photobucket or a similar website, then get the picture url, post it here with the [img](url)[/ img] tags.

you know im not to sure. i do not think they are bad cars, if they were having problems i would have probably heard about them by now. its a rough economy, people could be buying them and losing their jobs and being forced to get rid of them.

maybe you could google it and see what you could find.

Just for giggles, here are some reviews on them:

From driving my brothers, only cons I can see are the blind spot...but you get used to it. If it was a manual transmission it would be a perfect car.

Is the new Phoenix engine also going into Challys?? Or is the 3.5 only V6?

I'd rock one in a minute but don't want car payments.

Did people buy the se and then realize they really wanted a hemi?

Are they on dodge lots or other dealers buying them at auction and riding the popularity?

Publicity may be the answer. I have noticed the on just about every Chevy, Ford, VW, Toyota, dealerships thers is a least one or two on the lot, front and center. I will be fighting my wife over the hemi engine for sure. If you are going to spend that kind of money on that kind of car, you must go with the hemi!!!

Thanks Dan, Ill check them out. May be adding a new addition to the garage!! I also want to check if they come in red like mine (PEL) That would be pretty cool to have one next to the other.
