Service department storey...

Are there any good stories? Or do we just come to this board to complain?

A co worker dropped off his brand new mini van to have the CD fixed. They fixed it for free and even gave him his change back.
The change was from his 3 year old daughter using the CD player like a piggy bank.

I went in to get the PCM/TCM flashed, and they notified me of the fuel rail recall, and told me since they would have the computer plugged in after for diag that they could flash it for 1/2 the cost. $15 and 2 hours later, I had a new fuel rail, a flashed pcm/tcm, and was drivin home

I haven't had alot of problems with my LH cars but the dealer I use is great. Thompson Dodge in Baltimore. Never any bullshit,
I've sent alot of people there and they keep going back. They're not all bad, though there are a few here in Baltimore that I wouldn't let them touch my car.

i have had nothing but trouble with the dealers around me but on one occasion i brought my trep in for a rattle in my front end and they replaced the window motor for free when one of the techs noticed it wasnt working. i had totally forgot to mention that every once in a while the window didnt work. luckily one of them had tried to open the window for whatever reason.

There is a VERY nice one in the milwaukee area.. well. Hartland area.. near my paretns house. Quaden dodge. smaller dealership.. but the guys working there are all 100% friendly guys. a month ago, I was home and my check engine light came on and my car drove like shit.... Called them up "do you guys have time real soon to do a diagnostic for me?" "ummm.. let me check.............. if you can get here in 15 mins, we can check that out and see if we can fix it for ya (it was 3:30 at the time)"
So i drove in... and they ran the scan tool and found it to be a dead ignition coil.... (I seem to have bad luck with those... my last car ate 4 of them before I got rid of it). he charged me $20 for the diag and $110 for the coil.

It might help that I have known the owners family for the last 15 years tho too....

(I just wish he would give me a deal on the 2000 Inferno red R/T that he has had around the lot for the last couple years... 2500 Miles... strictly a dealer-transport car for taking customers back to work on lunch and stuff..... always had a sale sign in the window.. .but he just won't budge.. grrr...)

Don't Go to Hoover Dodge in Summerville, South Carolina. I took my car there to have the stearing pump replaced and when I picked up my car later that day I found...... Grese on the stearing wheel, carpet, floor mat, door handal, and all over the fender on both sides. and still am having problems with the pump

LHSer;

Funny you should describe a broken seat on a 1st Gen...mine just "popped" last week. I've been lurking at the salvage yards looking for a suitable replacement, but....maybe I'll just let DC take care of it.

What were the email addresses you used when you sent your note?

Thanks!
