brake problems

i was going down a hill the other day and started noticing a burning metalic smell. plus the steering wheel was shaking. the shaking has been going on for a while but is starting to get worse. it used to only happen at high speeds with fast deceleration. when i got out to check the front right hub was really hot. the brakes didnt fade or anything and i got back to college alright but just was wondering if anyone knew of what might be going on. i travel that hill all the time so i dont think that was the problem.
p.s. last i had the wheels off the pads and rotors were in decent shape (few months ago)

Did you notice any different feeling in the peddle such as spongyness or decrease in peddle firmness?

Was this hill straight or did it have turns in it?

It sounds like the front right brake was working harder which is why it got hotter. If I were you I would continue to drive normal but pay attention to the brakes. If it happens again, than I'd start to worry. If it does continue to happen, please let us know with all the details and we'll do our best to help.
