Anyone else think naming a car is dumb?

Just curious to see how many people are in this category?

Personally, I don't name my car, but if someone wants to, then that's their choice. I don't see it as a big deal.

I don't name my car.

Although there was this one time when I was dating a girl named Jane I did name my car Kathrine. Can anyone see the connections here?

I definately agree with this......that is why I named my car from an incident I had with my father....

I've never even considered naming my car, but we'll see what happens when the new one comes.

I see no problem if someone wants to name their car though.

I do not name my car. The only time I ever named it anything is when I am asking my cousin if he wants to take the high rider (his s-10) or the beast (the trep).

I think name is quite silly. Somehow I can't see telling a girl, "Dammit... i can't seem to remember where I parked Katherine." ROFL

It would be more appropriate to give it a horse type name... where is my noble steed ... I should start calling my car Mr Ed

My car's name is "Zero".

No, I don't think naming a car is stupid.

Girls seem to understand about the car names.

I used to have problems with my old car tho. It's name was "Grandpa" ('92 Buick LeSabre). I would say "I need to run Grandpa thru the car wash" and get weird looks.
