Air Bag light on my 01 intrepid, cruise control and horn are not working too

Need help,

My 2001 trep has an airbag light and the horn and cruise control are not working, everything else is perfect. How can i fix these things.

That rhythm is INFECTIOUS.

Sounds like the clockspring went south on ya... It's right behind the steering wheel - which will need pulled off to access.

so what can i do, do i have to buy a new clockspring or what. Can i fix it myself or i have to take it somewhere. Thanks

You can buy one from a dealer and pay for it dearly or buy this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-...Q5fAccessories

This was the cheapest one I found with a quick search. Probably as cheap as you will find one. Then buy or borrow a steering wheel puller.

Try using the search button and look around for a how-to for this project. If you can turn a wrench you can do this yourself.

the one on ebay, it says for chrysler 300m 2000, will it work for my intrepid 01 though.

I had to replace mine b/c of the exact same issue, and i used that how to and everything went fine.... if i remember right, you should need the 7 wire clock spring as supposed to the 5 wire one.... i got mine new from dealership for around $60..... well worth it b/c the air bag wont work when the light is on....

the local dodge dealership.. Also even though a few member have gotten the wheel off without a puller, i tried but didn't want to damage anything so you will also have to get a steering wheel puller which you should beable to rent one from your local auto parts store...
