Reflective tint?

I was wondering what y'all thought about reflective or mirror tint. Does anyone have this that they like or dislike? I was thinking about getting it done on the trep instead of black...I see some cars that pull it off really well and some that dont. What to do?

i think it would look alright on white. did you check to make sure it's not illegal in your state. it is in a lot of places. but i think it would look good on your car.

it does get hot inside the car a lot more than your windows not being tinted. i don't know why but all my friends cars get hotter in the summer with the mirror tint. the regular tint helps keep the heat out.

I have cool chrome reflective tint, it should be called black reflective though, it's basically shiny black tint.

Here's my 2 cents worth: I think it looks silly. Someone would have to pay me in order to have that stuff put on my windows. But hey, it's your car, and a fine car it is.

whatever you decide, please don't go for the mirror-to-black "fade" look. also, havne't ever seen it but the black mirror tint avenger describes sounds better.

So thats the official name for the tint type and color? I really like the way it looks... Better then plain old black.

Mine is 20% cool chrome tint, comes with a lifetime warranty on the tint and the installation. My friend also has 20% tint on his car and mine is much harder to see through due to the reflectivity. It is also 100% LEGAL which is a BIG +, I have it 20% all around since my only 2 choices were 20% or 35%.

I don't like it on many cars, as most people tend to go overboard. But, with anything else, it can be done well. I have seen some with ALL chrome tint...can't believe they last long in MI with the cops around here. But, i have seen some cool things done with it used for decal material under the black tint. Would be cool to see the ram's head done on the back windshield in the chrome tint with limo on the rest. My rear sticker is fading and thought that would look cool in that red chrome tint. Maybe this summer.

Here in Indiana it is not legal, but the only way you can get around the legality of it is to have the chrome part go only half way up the window - no more, or so that a police officer can see you. You also need some sort of prescription to do with your eyes from the doctor..something with sensitivity to light or some similar affliction.

I thought about getting the reflective tint before I decided to go with the straight black, that is until I saw a similar model intrepid with the tint on... Wow what a turn off ... just doesn't look right on a trep. Anyway that is my 2 cents.
