After 7 wonderful days in Phoenix, I'm back to the crappy Cleveland weather! Left at 107 degrees to a bone chilling 52 at home last night! Nice 50+ degree change for the day. I have to say it was darn hot, but I liked it a lot out there. Rented from Dollar rent-a-car, got an upgrade from our Intrepid to a Concorde as they were out of cars. It was a nice ride, dark blue 2003 with just over 8000 miles on it (turned it in with over 9000!) It was only an LX model, had no balls what-so-ever, even when the air wasn't on. It seemed as though to downshift, you had to hammer the pedal to take it into first, never accelerated out of second. Oh well, had a blast anyways! Saw and visited Sedona, Flagstaff, Tucson, Nogales, Mexico, even took in a Diamondbacks baseball game at the BOB Friday night. Visited three of the four TV stations (ABC 15, CBS 5, FOX 10), left overall impressed with the city and surrounding areas. Very, very easy to navigate also. Anyone looking to visit, I would highly recommend it, just not during June, July, or August unless 110+ is your kind of heat! It averaged about 105 the week I was there, about 12 degrees over the norm.
But alas, it's back to work on Memorial Day, it's just been a while since I posted, thought I'd share a little about my trip last week! Happy to be back on my Trep!
