adding 134a

I didn't find this using the search feature, and it is relatively minor, but I'm always trying to find ways to save time. The cans of 134a that I am using to charge the A/C on my wife's Suburban say to add the stuff with the can in the upright position. But I have been told by other people that it is OK to add it holding the can upside down, which makes it a lot faster. What's the consensus here?

Most refill cans and 'recharge' kits say to rotate the can back and forth while it's filling your system. Go from upright, tilt left/right, repeat.

That's what I do - no issues yet.
