Atf+4

I currently have 100,600 on my trep, which means it's due for a timing belt in 1400 miles. I figure while i'm gettin that done i'll do a full engine and tranny flush and put ATF+4 in the tranny. Anybody know how much to buy from the dealership?

I know its 9.9 quarts for 1st gens.

Expect to pay alot for that much fluid.

I would just buy 3 gallons (just over 11 quarts), just to make sure that they dont run out.

Don't forget the water pump and tensioner when changing the belt.

I did a full tranny flush, cost me some decent cash.....3 weeks later, trans went and cost me another $2400 or $2800 (don't remember what it was). GRRR!!!! Don't know about that price though, sorry.

Should be able to call up your dealer and get a price. Just ask for the parts desk.

I think its around $20-$30 a gallon, but I could be wrong.

A full tranny flush... that is to say, the transmission service without filter change... was $115 when I had it done at the dealer a couple weeks ago.
