DO NOT BUY FROM TEAM-PERFORMANCE.COM OR GOFASTPARTS.COM

If you don't feel like reading this long post, just take this bit of advice and DO NOT BUY FROM TEAM-PERFORMANCE.COM OR GOFASTPARTS.COM.

I purchased $100 worth of stuff from these people two months ago and have yet to receive anything.

The first time I called customer service, I waited on hold for 20 minutes, and then talked to a guy who said there was a problem with my order (GTS isn't selling headlight covers anymore, so they need to ship Lund covers) and that he would sort it out and call me back in an hour. Did he ever call me back? Nope.

I was busy, so I didn't get a chance to call back until the next week. Waited on hold for 20 minutes again, talked to the same guy who said it should be shipping that next Monday. Cool.

So I wait a couple more weeks. Nothing comes. I call them again and talk to a girl this time who says that she needs to switch the part numbers from GTS to Lund. Why the hell wasn't this done two months ago?! She says it will ship that following Monday.

Two weeks later, did it ever come? Nope. So I look them up on the Better Business Bureau website and, sure enough, here is what I found:

BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU RELIABILITY REPORT FOR TEAM PERFORMANCE.COM AKA GOFASTPARTS.COM

We rate this company as having an unsatisfactory business performance record based on a pattern of customer complaints alleging non-delivery of ordered products, and failure to issue refunds.

Some complainants allege they wait up to several months for a delivery or refund, but receive neither. Many report they make repeated calls to customer service, only to receive false or erroneous information on the status of their purchase. Other complainants allege they receive incomplete orders, incorrect orders, or experience frustration and difficulty obtaining credits or refunds.

The company responds in some cases by issuing refunds or credits, or shipping orders. One complaint remains unresolved, meaning the complainant is not satisfied with the company's responses. Other complaints remain unanswered.

(Here is the link to the report)

So, it looks like I am yet another victim. I plan on calling them on Tuesday, although I'm not quite sure how I am going to handle it...At first, I wanted to bitch them out, but then it looks like it might be less likely I'll get my stuff if I just piss them off. And I'm not sure how much legal action I will actually be able to take since I don't have much evidence (my order confirmation email was deleted).

Telling them I'll report them to the BBB doesn't sound like it will scare them since it looks like it has been done plenty of times before. I might tell them I plan on reporting them to the Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC), although I don't know how effective that will be.

Whatever the case, DO NOT BUY FROM THESE TWO WEBSITES:

TEAM-PERFORMANCE.COM
GOFASTPARTS.COM

i'm assuming you used your credit card?

dispute the charges. then you will get your money back, and the credit card company will go after this company for it's money.

credit cards are great insurance for buying stuff on the internet! use them!

Unfortunately, it was a debit card, so I don't think that will help me.

You can usually get dispute charge forms at your bank.

ALWAYS check http://www.resellerratings.com before buying.

Along with what Randy was saying, I would also report them to the BBB. Perhaps after so many bad reports the BBB or some realated entity will close their business. I don't know how that all works.

Well, I called them back, gave them a little piece of my mind, said I wanted a refund, the guy once again acted like he was helping me, and said the refund would go through by September 15.

Never got the refund, so I went to the bank and it turns out I'll be able to dispute the charge...It looks like the customer is usually able to get the money back no matter what, but sometimes the bank loses out.

Whatever, it's nice to know I'll get my money, but I don't want these rat bastards to get anything out of it.

Just thought I'd update you...
