would like some info

Hello everbody, my name is Garlan. I bought a 1997 dodge intrepid last april and have enjoyed everyday with my first car. I have a 3.3L inside my car and was wondering how much would it cost to buy a 3.5L and have it installed in my car? I am trying to raise the amount of hp in my car as well as the speed. i have hit 113 mph, but i would like to max out at 120. one last final question, i have a 1600 watt amp that powers 4 1000 watt subs. i was wondering if anybody has heard of a 3000 watt (max) sub? or even a 3000 watt (max) amp. thankls

why would you ever want to run a single 3000W sub?

Ok, if you really want it the Juggernaut can handle 3000W

Good luck building up an electrical system that would power that system. There isn't much space under the hood for extra alternators...

think adire audio brahmas 1600W RMS, 4800W peak www.adireaudio.com

http://www.adireaudio.com/mobile_aud...hma_series.htm

these things are monsters

if your talking max power a adire audio shiva will take 650wrms for a mere $125...lots of X-max...tons of it....im very hapy with mine. its a 12" and has one sound quality competitions and DB comps many many times

the temptest is a 15" that takes 750wrms for a mere $150

the malestorm is a 18" that takes 1000wrms for a mere $300

The only amp i would put in front of one of these fine subs is a Linear Power 3.2hv... rated at a conservative 1100wrms and a guaranteed electrical upgrade...did i mention this amp is rated for 50watts stereo? Nice for getting into watt specific comps. Actual cost of one of these gems is half what is listed on their site www.linearpower.com
did i mention a 6year warranty?

BTW i have 3 linear powers...one thats from the 70s...one from the late 80s and my sub amp thats at least 7 years old. ALL WORK! the 70s one needed a few new transistors becuase its of a old design...

Just because a speaker says it can handle that doesn't mean it's going to be louder(more db's) then one that's rated lower...go to a comp and see what pople use that's the best way to build a winning system...

If you want a real monster sub, just go for the Kicker SoloX. I saw one in person a couple weeks ago, and believe me, it's a true monster. It weighs in at just over 100lbs, is 18" square (much more cone area than a typical round sub), takes 5000W RMS (~10,000W peak) and is bolted to it's 1" thick MDF reinforced box for shipping (no cardboard box could hold this thing)...

I'm not a fan of kicker but it's pretty cool when your sub has to come n a wood box!
