Motor Oil

My engine has 170k miles on it, and I'm not sure what I should be doing regarding motor oil.

I'll get whatever I need to keep it running strong, but I don't know if I really need a 20w or higher. Anyone have any experiences with this?

your motor should be fine....lots more miles to go if it was taken care of. Just run regular dino oil and change it every 3-4k... that is unless you are having problems with oil consumption. then....try going to a higher weight...but ideally you would like to run a lower weight to reduce start up dammage that contributes to about half engine wear
