Question Auto Door Locks, dirt/dust

I would like to disable the darn door locks when hitting 30MPH on my 2003 intrepid, very annoying getting out then trying to open another door and they are locked then having to go back to driver door to unlock the doors.

I was driving on a country road, cause we live in the country and dust and dirt comes up through the seat belt attached to the panel between doors where there is a opening, oh my god we were all holding our mouths and noses to get through it.

Any suggestions on both.

Welcome to the boards!!

"Auto Lock" locks the doors when you hit 15mph or so. This is disabled by turning the ignition key on and off 4 times then hitting the power lock button. I believe this is in the owners manual.

As far as the dirt coming in, I'd be checking all the door seals. Sounds like you've got a seperation there somewhere.

i believe that you can hook up a chrysler DRB tool and disable the rolling locks... i think that you'll need to go to a dealer to have that done supposedly it's supposed to be "customer programmable" but it requires you to get a test module, which run up to 150 dollars

edit- i'd try the thing in2deep said, that seems right...
