Synthetic oil life study

Here is an interesting read on the life of synthetic oil. They just completed the test for Mobil 1 Synthetic and got 18,000 miles out of it. They will be testing Amsoil next. (they say early November).

I read another test...... where they got up to 40-50,000 with Synth. They had to replace the oil filter 2-3 times, but the oil was still in good shape after lab tests.

I can't wait to read the study on Amsoil and Redline. I don't know how well I trust Amsoil, but I know I like Redline.

I'm wondering if anyone performed a similar comparison with transmission fluids. I know redline is up there, but I still want to compare.
