Smile The Milwaukee Mile

Special event this weekend at The Milwaukee Mile...

For the price of a simple donation of "non-perishable" foodstuffs, you can run 3 laps on the Milwaukee Mile...a 1 mile banked oval paved track at State Fair Park in Milwaukee. They run a Craftsman Truck series event there, as well as an IRL race each year.

Don't know what (if anything...) they'll do for timing etc...but it'd be fun to open up the ES and see how fastt and far she'll run. See what gives out first...drivers nerve, street tires, or ????

Anybody interested?

Sounded cool till I read the web site: "Drivers will be lead around the track by The Milwaukee Mile's official pace car and supervised by the track's safety team."- from the web site. You'll probably do 50 or 60 m.p.h. at most, with about 50 other cars. But hey, go and do it for the donation of food to the Second Harvest. I'd do it if i could go at least 100mph!
