wanna flush coolant on 1st gen, help!

coolant flush on 1st gen treps
I wann flush my coolant. i saw the chilton's manual ans still get some problmes. the procedure descrided in manual as
1: put engine with cap (what cap??) removed and heater (what heater?) on until opteration temp. is reached.
2.with the engine stopped, open the radiator driancock located on the right side of the raidator. the drain will take place through the lower isolator
3.remove the coolant pressure bottle cap and open the thermostat bleed valve (where is it? wat is it? why?)
4. remove the cylinder block bleed drian plugs located behind each exhaust manifold. (wat is this? why remove this?)
5.completely drian the coolant and close all plugs.

Use a Haynes...don't question the manual. On the places where it says "see blah"...just go there.

The cap is the radiator cap. Heater is the heater inside your car. Drain is at the bottom of the radiator.

Never double post.

Serious Answer

Here, this should help you out. I know that its similar to the thing you were using, probably identical. Keep in mind..the drain area is on the bottom of the car...you're laying down looking up...keep your mouth closed, or you're eating antifreeze. :p

Just get regular and mix it 50/50 with water. The valve is for pressure relief and for a little draining. Good luck...if you have any more questions..just ask.

Look on the top of the radiator...there should be a metal cap. Be sure not to touch it when your car is warmed up because you'll end up with some brand new burns. If I can help anymore, just ask...that's what we're here for. The part where it says to turn the heat to full power...that's just the heater for your car....turn the dial to high. Easy enough.

Well dude, your car has to have a radiator cap...its not plastic. If its not on the top of your radiator, check all hoses leaving the radiator...you'll be sure to find it. I'm at work right now, so I'm not able to look through more web pages...so I'll get back to you later....in case you haven't figured it out yet.

I talked to Axle, and he said that there isn't a radiator cap on our cars...don't worry about that. I guess the Chilton's is just really generalizing cars. My best advice to you....go up to the dealership and talk to them about it. Tell them that you're really confused. If they aren't willing to help, just consult a local shop...you'll figure it out. Good Luck.
