YBNormyl **Please Read Everyone**

For those of you that do not read the LX Forum, our good friend Jose (YBNormyl)....a plant employee at the Brampton Assembly plant (where the LH cars were built and the LX cars will be built) is being fired by Chrysler.

The reason? Posting on this board.

Read his post below:

Quote:
Uhhh, this is hard to do. Tomorrow I will be fired, yes fired (Merry Christmass). Fired for my overzealousness in thinking I was promoting Daimler Chrysler's LX and life as an autoworker. So first off I'ld like to appologize to Daimler Chrysler for my actions as a representative of their company. Secondly I'ld like to appologize to my Wife and Kids for the hardship this will cause and thirdly I'ld to appologize to all the DI.net members, my friends for any slack this board may get.

I posted pictures of myself and some LX's. The pictures were within the Brampton plant. Normally something that shouldn't be seen by outsiders is guarded by security it's been said that cameras are not allowed but over the 16+ years I been there the camera policy has relaxed and it's not uncommon to see people taking pictures here and there. Although I have never been givin nor signed for any official document stating that there are absolutely no cameras allowed (except by authorized users) I not knowingly or fully realizing the situation posted pictures of LX's and pictures of the assembly plant being torn up for the retooling. As most of you are not autoworkers I thought it would be neat to see how they start gutting it out.

My firing is coming down from DC at Auburn Hills. Rumour is they suspect I may have something to do with the recent posting of the Infamous 6.1 HEMI picture. Fact is I first saw it in a post for the HEMI website. I did not have anything to do with that nor do I know who did. I would never knowingly devulge any company secrets. As most of you know I spend alot of time on the net searching through other good websites like Carconnection, Allpar, Edmunds etc spyshots/tidbits of anything automotive coming up. Yes I know and alot of time on EBAY and parts searches and helping Gorm. I've posted it before, the moment I actually see something is the moment I stop talking about it.

If anyone knows where the infamous 6.1 pic originated (what site or whatever) I'ld appreciate feedback.

I don't know what else to say right now
except once again I appologize to Daimler Chrysler.
If YBNormyl gives his approval, as we do not want him caused anymore grief, I propose that all of our members contact DaimlerChrysler and protest immediately. This is an unfair action by a major corporation against one of its greatest supporters and employees.

Also, please voice your opinion in this thread! Show your support for one of this site's most influencial and helpful members!

I'm not sure how we would contact DC and protest. Does anyone have any email addresses of the people directly responsible for this incredible example of poor management?

The direct approach would probably be best.

A general email to DC probably wouldn't get anywhere.

Sorry to hear about this, YB!

I've said it once and I'll say it again... the management at DC will end up running Chrysler into the ground long before any major quality or reliability problem ever will. Stunts like this aren't constructive or eminently helpful.

This might sound stupid, but here goes: Is there a way we can get a website going to save Jose's job? I am being 100% serious too. Have everyone from the site that thinks that this is bullshit, go ahead and "sign" it with their name and home address.
This is whack.

Once this thread gets big enough (and enough exposure)...they will find it on their own. Trust me.

Ya I was just thinking that same thing. Id also be a little worried if I was a future LX worker and posting on this site now. Kinda too bad, had we not mentioned YBs name in the fourm and such they may have never figured out who he was.

The picture came on here from a member who got it from a post on thehemi.com. Date is Nov 12th.:
http://www.thehemi.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=542

That person got it from srtforums. It is hosted on a site for "THE CUSTOM MOPAR
MAILING LIST". Again, date is Nov 12th:
http://www.srtforums.com/forums/show...highlight=6.1l

The first time it appeared on this site (to my knowledge), was that same day. The source thread (thehemi.com) was even linked to:
https://www.dodgeintrepid.net/forums/...highlight=6.1l

I really hope this helps you.

EDIT:
Heres the time frame break down. All times have been converted to eastern:
srt forums.com - 11:33 am
allpar.com - 11:51am
focarenthusiasts.com - 1:43pm
thehemi.com - 2:42pm
di.net - 3:00pm

I still can not find a site that had it before srt forums. But it sure as hell didn't start here.

Do not PM me asking how to fix your car. Make a thread.

I was willing to give DC another chance to be the manufacturer of my next vehicle... I was willing to wait and see what the LX Intrepid replacement looks like.

Now, however, I'm not giving DC one more dime.

If you guys want to write some letters and send them to me, I can always drop them off at DC's front door in a HUGE box. On second thought, they would probably just throw them away. I mean, obviously, if they don't care about their employees, why the hell would they care about little ole you and me.

This is BS by DC. If Jose did something wrong (and he says he wasn't aware of doing anything wrong), it would have been nice of DC to give Jose a warning. Anything that Jose posted could have been deleted. Now, about the 6.1L HEMI engine, yeah, prove that he took it. Why would a dedicated employee who has nothing but the highest of love for DC (have you seen what he has done to his car..if that ain't love, I don't know what is) knowingly jeopardize his employment by posting secret pictures on a forum board. This forum board is for the LH car (in case you didn't notice) and there are thousands of Mopar enthusiasts on this site. Jose had nothing but the best of intentions to get us excited about the upcoming LX vehicles.

So, DC, if this is how you treat your most dedicated employees, I can honestly say that my current Mopar will be my last Mopar, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way. I can also no longer recommend any DC vehicles to people shopping for new or used vehicles.

I now have a greater lean towards BMW being my next car.

BTW...what does the CAW think of all this?

And just like that they fire you..

Almost 17 years with a company, you would think that you would be pulled to the side and asked/told that you can no longer bring a camera to work and take pictuers.

That the "no camera" rule will be reinforced. Althought it has been over looked from time to time, that they are now going to fully inforce the rule.

But because you've been such a deadicated employee for over 16 years and have helped numerous people with their chrysler product. Your getting FIRED.

That's just plain BS. NOT RIGHT AT ALL !

OOPS i hit the "post" key twice. Didn't mean to hit it at all.

Now let me finish.

YB has been very, very helpful to me and other here. I've never heard a bad word come from him or been said about him. He seems to stand behind Chrysler on 2 strong feet.

Hearing this really makes me wonder about ever buying a D-Chrysler product again.

I've been a strong and loyal FORD man for many, many years. I've got 2 ford's in the drive way with my intrepid that replaced my ford t-bird.

I really like my intrepid, somuch to the point to where i've been looking at new 3/4 dogde deisel four door 4x4's to replace my ford one i drive now.

After hearing this there's just no damn way dodge will get my hard earned money. How can i make an investment like that with a company that does not invest in there dedicaded employee's.

What can would i come to expect if i had a problem with it ? I would asume not much if this is the way they handel things.

Well that's enough from me.

YB, You the man !!! Very sorry to hear of this news man. Right before the holidays to. ouch. Atleast you still have the love of your family and friends to be thankful for this coming week.

If i can give you any help stand up and tell me man.

I'm dumbfounded beyond words. YB has NEVER said anything that could even be construed as negative about DC or any of its products, in fact for most of us if i may say so, he has *enhanced* the experience of owning a Chrysler product. He has done nothing but promote them.

DaimlerChrysler -> if you fire YB, I will never buy another Chrysler as long as I live, and I will make sure that I don't recommend your products either and discourage people from buying them. I'm dead serious, as I'm sure a lot of us are, and I don't think you as a company can afford to piss off your greatest enthusiasts over a completely unfounded and frankly stupid decision.

YB is better than any advertising campaign money can buy, and THIS is his thanks?!?!? You should be giving him a raise, not firing him! Who the heck at headquarters has their heads in their @$$es???

What does the man have to appologize for?? Getting people excited about a car company that is on the verge of vanishing... again?? Damn fools!

To DC Management - "Kussen mein arsch!" Hope it doesn't take you as long to figure that out as it has to figure out why you're losing so much money...

Good luck to ya buddy... Don't worry, it will be okay!
