P0700 Code

Well, I came to this site a while back with a problem and you guys led to to the correct solution to the problem, so here goes again. I was driving and the P0700 error came on. No trouble shifitng, no speedo problems. I read about limp mode and guess I would notice that right? I mean I hit about 5000 rpm's in second and I hear it shift and the rpm's go back down, so I guess there's no limp mode. What should I do. I am out of warranty (45,000) miles. My car shifts are very smoove. Please help!

Thanks, I did the same search, but its just that I have no speedo problems and no shifting problems. I dont know if I should get the sensors replaced. Maybe a transmission flush? Well, I am going on Saturday and have an oil change/inspection coupon for Dodge. I will play stupid and see what they say. If they have to diagnosis it, I think thats the same cost as getting the sosnsros replaced? It is a tough situation....but she runs fine!

Well, an update, a terible one....I was driving and my car slipped out of gear, and revved. No reverse at all. Turn it off and on, hits 5mph and then revs. Dealers hooks it up to the computer, says not sensors, internal in transmission. Very upset......this car is a DAMN 2002 with 45,000 miles(I have only had it a year!) !!!! By the way, if they tell me it needs a new tranny (or rebuilt) , how long before a tranny goes do you see metal shavings in the oil pan? I mean, one week prior, I had an oil change and a 16 point inspection on the car....one week before, but the tranny guy was not in, so I had to wait till next week to see him (meaning today). I dont think they did their inspection, in fact I know they did not b/c they did not reccomend a thing, and I know I need a new air filter.
