Something to be thankful for....

For 8 years the intrepid has served me well, protected me in times of emergencies as well as provided me with something to invest close to 10 grand into, but it was all worth it. Unfortunently, its time grew short and it was time to let my baby go. So now its my sad duty to tell you all the mysteryman's intrepid is now out of his possesion, but in good hands. I'm going to see if the new owner would like to join this community next time i talk to him. We sold the car for 3 grand plus 1 grand for the rims and tires. Not a bad deal. I ended up taking everything out of the car, system, neons, and ram air intake, and some of that is for sale. As much as i didnt want to sell the car we needed the money and the reliability of a car with lesser millage 150,000 was a bit more tho im sure it'll go on for while. Unfortuently some goals werent accomplished, but what can i say you cant get everything you wanted. I'll still be around here and i'll keep you all updated on the maxima as well. Take care....

Appearance is everything. Spend 200 detailing the car before you sell it, you'll get twice that added onto your selling price.

Ain't that the truth!! I've done similiar myself. It's amazing what a wash & wax plus a good detail job (Door jams, under the hood, vaccuum the trunk, armorall the vinyl, etc) can do to the "curb appeal" of any car.

Thats quite alright i think i got my ride situation all set. Tho i did test drive some second gens but idk the maxima won that battle. Yeah i did get a good deal, i tried the foot in the door technique and wanted 6500 for it, but that was all modds, the guy gave my parents 1500 for a downpayment then took the car to fix any minor problems. Of course when he fixed one thing something else would go wrong. But then payed for the rest anyways just a few days ago. I thought he only payed 3 but then i found out it was 4 with the rims. I used to baby that car, it was one of the whitest white first gens i had ever seen. Im still in shock we sold it for that much and miss seeing it in the driveway. Cant wait to start seeing it around town, with the painted tails you cant miss it. It'll feel weird im sure tho. Well i guess its time to start over, and starting on tuesday the mods start coming, oh and i got the maxima sponsered in a sense so i'll be getting the hook up on that. Thanks all for the kind words and not flamming on me cuz i sold the intrepid, i appreciate that.

Hope the Max works out for you.

I had a deposit on a Max S/E when I stumbled across My M. 33K miles later I have no regrets. Good luck

Does this mean no more IOM for you?

Thats too bad I figured you would have won by now. I cant say i haven't voted for you in the past. Hope that guy becomes a member of the community.

Unfortunently yes.

Though that was something i really wanted. I believe i was the fastest member nominated, joined mid november and was nominated for the december voting. It's kinda funny i did all the mods before i new this community existed, so i came here with everything that i thought was orignial but found more had done it before me. I won IOM but then had it taking away because someone voted for me too many times on the same IP adress. Talk about a low blow, never did find out who it was. Never really was up there in the runnings either except that month. I know the car was worthy, i tried my best but hey my luck sucks. I figured since i got screwed over when i didnt cheat i wouldnt cheat and try running even after the car was gone, just not tell anyone about it. But hey there is always MOM lol

I must say your Intrepid was very nicely kept. But, I also must say I cast the deciding IOM vote for mobbdeep that month, and then someone "mysteriously" cast 3 votes for you immediately thereafter. To be honest, I would've voted for you, and you'd have won, had you not mentioned IOM in just about every post you made, including your very first post on the forums. Was really no mystery you made the running your first month considering you campaigned for it from day one. Best of luck with the Maxima. Looks like a very nice ride.
