can a fuel injector crack?

i called DC, they called the dealer that looked at my car, now they changed the story from a bad ring to a cracked fuel injector..... I didn't know this could happen. Furthermore, he said the rest of my injectors were fine? How could one suddenly break and the others be just fine? Any answers would be appreciated and a link to a cheap injector replacement would help!

Unequal fuel pressure could eventually put too much stress on the outer or inner part of the injector and cause it to eventually have enough and not so much crack as simply collapse. Now the excessive pressure could come from several places such as the spray of the fuel being of more pressure in one injector than the others or it could be that the a/f mix was somehow clogged and caused excessive buildup in there and so that incoming fuel had to go somewhere, and well, you get the picture.
