Vintage Intrepid, neat find...

Well I was going to a Christmas party last night, and at this party they have an "Ugly Ornament" contest. So, up to the attic I go. As i'm looking for the box that has some really old, ugly ornaments, I find a couple of boxes that were squirrled away back in '97, before I moved out of my parents house. I opened them and they had a lot of old CD cases that I have been looking for, for the last 6 years. In the other box I find all my old Car and Driver magazines from '89 - '92. "Cool" I say to myself as I take them down from the attic and begin to look through the stack. And no shit! Look what was on the cover in April 1992....

Sorry that the pics are grainy, the only "digital" camera I have is my LG VX6000 camera phone. Basicly the article stated that the Intrepid, New Yorker and the Eagle Vision were the "Blockbusters" at the North American International Auto Show. The article also stated that "Chrysler unveiled its big guns in an anti-tauras campain, and the international motoring press was suitably awed."

I thought this was a cool find. Also it's funny to see all the old car ads back then. I'll bring this and others to the big meet in the spring.

Alright, got some stuff scanned, and took pics too, (my scanner is sorta small) Is there anyplace where I can upload this stuff on, where it remains is normal size? For now i'll use cardomain.

BTW, have an article on the trep esx hybrid, a few trep, concord, LHS ads, 98 trep brochure, for now. Gonna dig some more out tom. I have a bumch of shit on LH body cars, let me know what you want, I'm sure I can find it/scan it. Also have a dodge motorsports brochure too. Let me know...

Hey, good job on the find. I'm gonna go to school and snag that one (we've got tons of mags in the shop, just not sure which ones had our LH cars). I've got a Car & Driver one from July 1993 that had the 3.3L Intrepid in a comparo with 5 others, took 2nd behind the Camry. I'll probably scan it and if someone wants to put it up somewhere....
And there was a good review on the LHS, they praised it very much. And I've got a pic somewhere of a kinda concept, maybe pre-production LHS with a sweet set of HID headlights, gotta scan that one too.

Yes, I'm pretty sure you can backorder old magazines. My Road & Track says you can order old ones for like $6-7 each. Maybe a little shipping, so definitely less than $10 each.

"Car and Driver" and "Road & Track" are the same company, no? So Car and Driver's policy should be the same.

I remember back in '93 (I was just a young-en) while at the dealership, my dad handed me an intrepid promo magazine. I must have read that thing inside and out a hundred times. Now you got me interested in finding it
