Post Headrest

I have a 2002 Dodge Intrepid SE and I can not remove my headrests. Is there some special trick to removing the headrests. I can adjust to the highest level but can not get the headrest to come out of the slots completely. Thanks in advance for any help that you guys can provide.

not sure about the 2nd gen, but on 1st gens there is a pinhole in the plastic base on top of the seat where the headrest posts go in. you have to use a small object to push the release in the pinhole. i used a small allen key, but a paper clip would likely work. there is one on each post.

hope that helps, not sure that 2nd gens are the same...
