Time For Duals!!!!

well i got an extra 200 bucks for xmas from the parents that was supposed to be used on an xm radio set up but i think i want to do the dual exhaust thing instead. im thinking that i should buy the parts online and then find a shop for the install. i want to go with a flowmaster camaro style muffler with dual tips. i dont really need flashy tips or anything just something effective and nice. any suggestions as to what flowmaster muffler i should go with and also what tips i might want to use that will look good.. im looking for a nice deep tone (not to loud) and i sure as hell dont want it to sound riced out like the other billion ricers in town. thanks guys and any input

Flowmaster Series 40 muffler is the choice among the 2nd gen folks. Flow master series 60 is for the smaller displaced engines.

Oh and to all that BS about the 60's series for small displacement is a joke. Any mustang 5.0 or 4.6 out there is running 2.5 inch duals with two 2.5 inch mufflers (40 series etc etc etc). If you think that idea is legit, each muffler is being fed 2.5L's or 2.3L's of displacement from one side of the engine. So when you use one flowmaster 40 on even a 2.7 its more displacement per muffler than a mustang. So it doesn't really mean anything. Your never going to get the sound of a v8 anyway, so using a ''smaller displacement designed muffler" isn't going to make much any difference at all except tone.
